Don't Lonely Me is Heidi's second album on Wired Records featuring 10 new songs and a Ben Adorable remix of I Just Know. "What we search for in other people is to be found in oneself or in our invisible friend" says Heidi in relation to her new album entitled from the song Don't Lonely Me, a title open for different translations.
In the year of making this album Heidi has been commuting back and forth between the Royal Music Academy in Denmark and her home in Berlin resulting in a kind of double life and a mobile studio work process between playing concerts and producing songs.
Talking about double figures both in sound and image it seems to be Mortenson's task to unite the extremes and balance oposites. This album presents colorful and textured songs with a nerdy and charming aproach, travelling through new sound experiments and visiting seriousness vs. self-irony in a twisted pop production.
Tiger is floating on a bossanova rhythmbox with sounds of a growling tiger, miaows and even an elephant's toot. Music is an ode to same and a modest disbelief in human marriage with a digital taste. Coincidence is fairly dancy and deals with spontanious decisions on a day with hangover that ends up being a really good day. Hard To Say proves how invisible rules modify depending on our surroundings. Girl Since I Met You is sweet as honey. Mortenson is playing drums on Hurt Machine. Sphere is featuring a chorus by Kevin Blechdom and is spotting the future and realizing that things don't end but they change.

'Sultry, silly, soulful, playful, gender-bending, pop experimentalist... Heidi Mortenson is all this and more' 8/10 dots. POPMATTERS

'Who else has managed to record an album which sounds like someone fiddling around with a dodgy radio while simultaneously pouring milk onto Rice Crispies... AND still sound good !!?' Electronic Beatz

'Don't Lonely Me is part beat-chemist's work and punk bravado with a clear nod to Peaches' sexy, campy romps' XLR8R

'Mortenson is winking to Madonna in a clever sound collage and it's damn irresistible!' Groove

'Heidi Mortenson is nothing short of a genious.. and I don't use the word genious lightly' Electronic Beatz
